PHC Audiologist: Maddy Braun, Au.D.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Olathe, KS.

Where did you go to school?

I went to Kansas State University for my bachelors degree, and I got my doctorate of audiology from University of Kansas Medical Center.

Why did you want to become an audiologist?

I became an audiologist because I wanted a career where I could interact with people all day. I love getting to help people improve their ability to communicate with loved ones.

What is your favorite area of audiology?

My answer to this changes often. Right now, I love counseling patients about hearing, hearing loss, and hearing aids. I enjoy empowering people to take control of their hearing health care and encouraging patients to do what is best for them in this time of their lives.

At what office(s) do you work?

Lakewood, Merriam, and the Lee's Summit Medical Center.

I don’t have a favorite television show. I don’t watch TV very often, and when I do I usually watch movies!

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

I would bring back butterfly hair clips. I used to love butterfly hair clips!

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?

Ireland. I have always wanted to go to Ireland.
