PHC Audiologist: Lindyn Robinson, Au.D.
Where did you grow up?
Growing up my family moved every three years, so I have lived in Ohio, Georgia, Kansas, England, and California.
Where did you go to school?
I attended Blue Valley West for a year and three years at Amador Valley High school in California. I went to the University of Kansas for undergrad and the University of Kansas Medical Center for graduate school.
Why did you want to become an audiologist?
I accompanied my grandmother, who was a World War II veteran to her appointment to get hearing aids in high school and saw the huge difference it made in her. Suddenly I was able to interact with my grandma, and getting hearing aids gave her access to interact with those around her. That led me down a path of wanting to help others not feel isolated from those around them.
I really enjoy the processes of fitting hearing aids and working with people on hearing sounds they may not have heard in many years. I also really enjoy tinnitus therapy.
At what office(s) do you work?
I work at Merriam, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, and Broadway.
Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.
If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?
I am pumped overalls are coming back into fashion!
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
Exploring a European castle with my family.
